Feng Shui Philosophy

I don’t have to believe in Feng Shui, I do it because it makes me money."   Donald Trump

From the rich cultural heritage of China has emerged an approach to design and life enhancement, which dates, back over 5,000 years. Feng Shui, which means literally, “wind and water”, is the Eastern art of placement. Traditionally Chinese Taoist sages were commissioned to plan out the design of everything from palaces to entire cities for health, prosperity, and happiness for all who resided there.

They believed that each individual’s surroundings were an expression of his or her psychological and spiritual states. The positioning of furnishings and décor were believed to have a profound effect on one’s ability to attract auspicious opportunities. The art of Feng Shui involves calculation and attention to detail relating to the strategic placement of objects, such as a desk to an office window, the critical placement of mirrors to reflect negative energies away, or a small fountain to encourage incoming cash flow.

Just as an acupuncturist’s needles are used to stimulate and balance the body’s energy force (known as chi), Feng Shui helps to regulate the flow of life energy in and around a particular site. Its practice can be used to improve physical space and impact your life dramatically, instilling a healing sense of harmony into relationships, health, and prosperity.

Does this sound a little bit “too New Age “ for you to consider utilizing in your home or business? Then it might surprise you to know that many Fortune 500 companies are using Feng Shui. Donald Trump used its principles in planning Riverside West, one of the largest urban development undertakings in New York City. Afterwards he appeared on Dateline NBC vowing to use Feng Shui in all future projects.

In the United Kingdom, Marks and Spencer, Virgin Airways, The Body Shop, and many top restaurants and retailers utilize Feng Shui. In Asia it is just unheard of for one to build an office or open a business without first calling a Feng Shui Master.
